Proxy Formats
Each line in your proxy list represents a proxy endpoint that you can configure in a supported application or tool.
Squid Proxies can be used with:
- Web browsers
- Web scraping tools
- SEO software
- Automation platforms
- Applications that support HTTP or HTTPS proxies
The exact format required depends on the application you are using. Some tools accept a simple IP:PORT format, while others may require authentication details or a hostname and port.
For more details, see our Understanding Proxy Formats guide.
Authentication
Your proxies must be authenticated before you can use them.
Depending on the authentication method configured for your service, you can:
- Whitelist your IP address in the Authorized IPs section of the Client Dashboard, or
- Use the proxy username and password assigned to your account.
Make sure authentication is configured correctly before testing or using your proxies.
For detailed instructions, see Proxy Authentication Methods.
